Today's career talk

For a life to be successful, it must be lived in the moment, Ed Brodow says in his book Beating the Success Trap: Negotiating for the Life You Really Want and the Rewards You Deserve. "Make no mistake about it, life is very short," he says. "It's a long weekend, nothing more. It isn't a decade. It isn't a year. It isn't even a week. It's a long weekend."

John Eckberg
