CALIFORNIA, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky Men's Amateur Championship golf tournament was expected to resume today after thunderstorms forced play to be suspended with the 32 golfers in the championship flight still on the course at Flagg Springs.
Players in the championship flight were scheduled to pick up at 8 a.m. today where they left off about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The 64 golfers in the first and second flights finished their match-play rounds Tuesday and were scheduled to start a second day of match play at 7:30 a.m. today.
All three flights are expected to complete two days of match play today, which would leave eight golfers in each flight eligible for the final day of medal play Thursday.
Winners of the first and second flights are scheduled to be determined with 18 holes of medal play, while the eight survivors in the championship flight will play 36 holes to determine the overall champion.
