The skies are expected to clear today, making way for a weekend of fishing, festivals and baseball.
Sunny skies and pleasant temperatures are expected to last throughout a weekend jammed with chances to get outside and enjoy Cincinnati.
Consider the Adult-Child Fishing Tournament at Lake Isabella Family Fishing Center in Symmes Township. The 77-acre lake is fully stocked. The tournament runs from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Registration includes boat rental and is $20 per two-person team.

Feast on the perennial festival favorite funnel cakes or try the turtle soup at St. Rita Fest, 4 p.m.-midnight today and 1-10 p.m. Sunday. Ride and play games. Win a stuffed animal or a new car at St. Rita School for the Deaf's biggest fund-raiser.

Or let the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra take you back to the '80s with hits from Blondie, Billy Joel, Chicago and Michael Jackson. The free show "Funkytown" includes an appearance by Eliot Sloan of Blessid Union of Souls. It's 7:30 p.m. tonight in the Devou Park Amphitheater in Covington.

The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden takes advantage of the break in the rain and starts evening hours with discounted admission. Tonightis the second night of special hours: Gates are open two hours later. That means 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The zoo cuts $4 off the price of adult admission of $11.50 after 4 p.m. those nights.
"This is a great way to bring a date or the whole family to see the Zoo during the most comfortable part of the day," said Gregg Hudson, Zoo president and CEO.
An event that doesn't depend on the sunshine is the appearance of Negro Baseball League players Chuck Harmon- the first African-American to play for the Cincinnati Reds - and Charlie "The Whip" Davis at a lecture about the Cincinnati Art Museum's exhibit Out at Home! The Negro Baseball League. It begins at 2 p.m. Sunday in the museum's Lecture Hall.
