Man sought in Walton park assault on child

The Cincinnati Enquirer

The Boone County Sheriff's Department is seeking help finding a man who is accused of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl Saturday evening at a park in Walton.

The girl was lured to a secluded area about 8:30 p.m. at Walton Community Park off Old Stevenson Mill Road, police said. Boone County Sheriff officials described the assault as a form of inappropriate touching. The girl became suspicious and ran from the man.

The girl described the man as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, 6 feet tall and just shy of 200 pounds. He had light-red spiked hair, and may have been unshaved. He was wearing long pants and a white short-sleeved shirt.

Anyone with information on the man is asked to call the Boone County Sheriff's Department at (859) 371-1234.
