COLUMBUS - The bodies of three people were found Wednesday in a rented house near the Ohio State University campus, police said.
One of them, Kayla Hurst, 21, of Granville, was an Ohio State student, police Sgt. Brent Mull said. Police also identified one of the two male victims as Aaron Grexa, 22. Authorities believe he lived outside of Ohio and was not an OSU student.
Officers who arrived at the house about 1:30 p.m. were trying to determine how the three died, Mull said.
A person who lives in the house called police early Wednesday afternoon after finding the bodies upstairs.
The neighborhood, where students and nonstudents live, is about six blocks east of campus, Mull said.
The department planned to release the identity of the third person after his family was notified, Mull said.
Kevin Brugger, 27, of Columbus, said three men he is friends with live at the house, and they had visited him at his home a few blocks away Tuesday night.
Police drove around the neighborhood early Wednesday after an anonymous call reporting gunshots, but officers could not find anything unusual, Mull said.
