Promotions and new on job

Joseph Ahrens Hayes has been named an associate with Robert Ehmet Hayes & Associates in Fort Mitchell. Hayes has been with the firm since his 2000 graduation from the University of Kentucky. He holds architectural registrations in Kentucky and Ohio.

Cleveland-based CHAMPS Management Services is expanding its Oncology Data Services (ODS) program into Cincinnati through the addition of Leslie Porter as regional manager.

Jose A. Garcia has joined FRCH Design Worldwide as vice president architecture design for the retail centers studio; Scott E. Dietz, joined as senior professional; Michael B. Sarka as senior professional in the retail centers studio; Dean Lutton has returned to FRCH after completing his master of architecture from the University of Cincinnati and joining the retail centers studio; Ryan McNally, joined as professional for the specialty retail rollout team; Kelli Lear joined the hospitality studio in a professional level graphics position; and Monica Gerhardt as senior professional account manager in the specialty retail fashion studio.

Randy Hare has joined Haberer Registered Investment Advisor Inc. as senior research analyst. He most recently worked as a senior research analyst for U.S. Bank. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.

The following have been appointed new members of the board of directors for the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati: Lisa May Evans, employment counsel for Sara Lee Corp.; S. Kay Geiger, senior banker at LaSalle Bank/ABN AMRO Bank (Netherlands); Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney co-owner of Sesh Communications and editor of Sesh's three weekly African American newspapers; and Jackie Mack, president of Magellan Travel and vice president of the Plum Street Temple Historic Preservation Fund.

The following have been appointed to the WGUC board of directors for Cincinnati Classical Public Radio Inc.: Joseph A. Pichler, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the Kroger Co.; Richard A. Graeter, II, president and chief executive officer of Graeter's Franchising Co. and executive vice president of Graeter's Inc.; and Chris Neyer, Cincinnati native and arts patron.

Steve Roeding has been named president of Roeding Group Companies, a Northern Kentucky-based insurance agency. Roeding has been with the firm for 27 years in several capacities - the latest being marketing manager. He succeeds Ted Roeding who will remain as chief executive officer of the corporation. He holds a bachelor's degree from Northern Kentucky University.

• The following have joined HSR Business to Business Inc.: Dawn Grady, client service executive; Jana Roszkowski, marketing management specialist; and Jason Wolfgang, marketing management specialist.

Shannon Boyer has joined Wordsworth Communications, a marketing communications and public relations agency, as account coordinator. Boyer has three years of experience in marketing, media relations, special events and Web site development and maintenance. She was education coordinator at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University in communication-speech. She is communication secretary of the NKU Communication Alumni Association.

• The following have been named new members to the board of directors for Women's Crisis Center: Sarah Blanken Kahann, a volunteer in the Northern Kentucky community; Brian Cobb, vice president and regional manager for U.S. Bank; Timothy Hayes, captain/commander of bureau investigations for Kenton County Police Department; Lori Horner, human resource manager for Emerson Power Transmission; Christine Rottinghaus, speech/language pathologist for Erlanger Elsmere Schools; and Leslie Anne Walton, vice president of the Bank of Maysville.

Erin Lutes has been named marketing manager at the Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau. Lutes, a three-year veteran of the Greater Cincinnati CVB, will be responsible for the management and development of the CVB's tourism, meeting, convention, and sports marketing programs. She was communications specialist. Previously, she served the Greater Columbus Convention & Visitors Bureau as communications coordinator for two years.

• The following have been appointed new trustees of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra: Raymond J. Brokamp, director of Leadership Cincinnati; Courtis Fuller, host of a talk show on radio station WCIN; Dr. Patrick Kirk, director of joint replacement and bypass surgery at the University Hospital; Jonathan McCann, portfolio manager with Johnson Investment Counsel; and Donald Spencer Sr., a native Cincinnatian who received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Cincinnati and taught in the Cincinnati Public Schools. The CSO board of trustees also have appointed four board officers for the 2003-2004 season: Daniel J. Hoffheimer, chair; James B. (Rick) Reynolds, vice chair; J. Marvin Quin, secretary, and Diane (Dee Dee) West, treasurer. Jane Tuten will join the CSO board of trustees as an ex-officio member and also serve as president of the Cincinnati Symphony Association (CSA), succeeding Joyce Holmes, who remains on the board as immediate past president of the CSA.

Sandra A. Melillo has joined Merchants Bank and Trust as vice president and human resources director. Melillo will be responsible for all facets of the company's human resource functions. She has extensive experience in the financial services industry in both banking and investment advisory services. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and The College of Mount St. Joseph.

Awards

• Tracy Curry, assistant director of nursing at Clovernook Health Care, has been selected by the Ohio Health Care Association as its August 2003, Hero of Long Term Care.

• The Ohio Statewide Minority Business Development Center (OSMBDC), operated by the Cincinnati B.D.S., Inc. with partial funds from the Ohio Department of Development's Division of Minority Business Affairs, has received the MBDA National Outstanding Leader Award for Highest Total Performance Nationwide by the Minority Business Development Agency, U.S. Department of Commerce.

Dennis Graham, who operates a Kirby distributorship in Cincinnati, recently won a trip to Kauai, Hawaii, from the Kirby Co.

• Edward J. Dobrozsi, executive vice president, John Dobrozsi Jr. Insurance Agency Inc. in Middletown, was honored with a Top Speaker's Award during the Ohio Insurance Institute's (OII) awards banquet.

• Donald L. Mellott, Mellott & Mellott, P.L.L., has been named an honorary member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). This honorary membership is given to certified public accountants who have been members of the AICPA for 40 years.

• Ritter Daniher Financial Advisory LLC, a financial planning and asset management firm in Anderson Township, has earned a listing on the Top 300 Wealth Management Firms in the country, as selected by Bloomberg Wealth Manager.

• Dan Rolfes, Holiday Homes, has been inducted into the Kentucky Manufactured Housing Institute (KMHI) Hall of Fame.

Name changes

Lange Wheeler Design Group LLC has changed its name to Swath Design LLC, a professional design firm founded in 1991 and based in Cincinnati.

• The Herb Shoufler Agency of American Family Insurance has opened at 998 E. Ridge Drive, suite H, in Lebanon. The company offers vehicle, home and property insurance, life and health insurance and commercial and farm/ranch insurance, as well as additional financial services.
