Chase, crash result in two arrests

By Reid Forgrave
The Cincinnati Enquirer

NORTH COLLEGE HILL - Police here say they arrested two Cincinnati men Saturday afternoon, after a short chase that ended in a wreck with a police cruiser and one suspect running from the scene toting a 3-year-old boy.

Shortly after 4 p.m., 26-year-old Telon Sheridan was driving in North College Hill when police tried to pull him over on a traffic stop. Officers said Sheridan tried to flee police by driving to nearby Pippin Road, where he lost control of his car, hit a police cruiser and crashed into a tree.

Sheridan and his passenger, 20-year-old Thomas E. Boggan, ran from the vehicle, police said. Boggan had his 3-year-old nephew in tow, according to a police report.

Both men were arrested on multiple charges - including child endangering - after the foot chase. They were taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center, where they will be arraigned today.

The 3-year-old was released, unharmed, to a relative.

Sheridan was charged with several driving offenses, as well as felonious assault, fleeing and eluding, drug abuse and possession of cocaine after police found 6.4 grams of marijuana and 10.2 grams of crack in the vehicle, as well as more than $2,000 in cash.
