Police probe shooting
Victim found with head wound
Police were investigating a shooting incident in the West End early Thursday that resulted in a least one victim being shot in the head.
The shooting occurred just before midnight Wednesday near the Parktown Cafe in the 1700 block of Linn Street, police. When officers arrived they saw a car leaving the scene and a vehicular pursuit ensued.
Utilizing Stop Sticks, which puncture tires, police were able to stop the vehicle a short time later near the intersection of Elberon Avenue and W. 8th Street in Price Hill. A male with a gunshot wound to the head was found in the vehicle, and officers were trying to determine whether the wound was self-inflicted or the wound occurred at the shooting scene on Linn Street.
The victim was transported to University Hospital.
