Mascot of the Week
Georgia mascot Uga VI (pronounced UG-ah) took over the job in 1999, after the retirement of his father, Uga V, in a ceremony known as "The Changing of the Bone." Uga VI, at 60 pounds, is the biggest in the line of Georgia mascots. His father was the most famous Uga, landing on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1997 as the nation's best college mascot.
