Corinne Mohlenhoff

Corinne Mohlenhoff is an MVP on the local theater scene. She's worked with the Children's Theatre, Ovation, IF Theatre Collective, Women's Theatre Initiative, Know Theatre Tribe, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati and Dayton's Human Race and still finds time to be a company member with Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival, where she'll star in Dracula (Oct. 23-Nov. 16).

What's Mina's girl power? Mina's fascinating because she's not a damsel in distress. She's very driven, intelligent and strong, but she's still classy and feminine.

Does she have a happily ever after? Well, she comes back and saves the day after crossing over to the dark side.

Your five-year plan: Honestly, I'm not really good on long-term planning. I just know I want to keep working on projects that present new and different challenges. I want to keep learning and improving. It's always good to get a role that scares me a little.

Favorite place to hear live music: If I can, I get out to hear the PIGS play in Arnold's patio. They always put on a great show and it's an awesome open spot for live music.

Favorite Graeter's flavor: "Mocha chocolate chip. It has an intense kick of the two greatest flavors - coffee and chocolate."

How high are your heels? There is something powerful about a good set of high heels - although I can't handle stilettos. I feel like I'm going to tip over. But the truth is, flip-flops and sneakers are the easiest for getting around.

Why is she the one? "On the surface, Mina is sweet and naÔve. But underneath all of that is a strength that carries her and the other characters through the play. I don't think there is any other actress in town who can splice together strength and vulnerability like Corinne Mohlenhoff can," says director Brian Isaac Phillips.

What's next? After Dracula, I'll be jumping back into my Bogle shoes for Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol at Cincinnati Shakespeare. For that, I'll need comfortable shoes - preferably with good traction.
