Boone County

Mildred Farrell

FLORENCE - Mildred Speagle Farrell, 78, a grocery store clerk, died Sunday at University Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati.

She was a member of Florence Baptist Church and of the Florence Senior Citizens Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Speagle, in 1979, and by a son, Robert Terry Speagle, in 1991.

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Lee Nichols of Lexington; and a brother, James Harold Soden of Portland, Ore.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. and service 11 a.m. today at Stith Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger.

Campbell County

Wayne L. White

FORT THOMAS - Wayne L. "Bud" White, 66, a switchman for CSX and Louisville & Nashville railroads and a Korean War Air Force veteran, died Saturday at his home.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Morgan White; a daughter, Rebecca Lee White of Fort Thomas; a sister, Janie Poston of Bedford, Texas; two brothers, Curt of Pensacola, Fla., and Russell of Taylor Mill; and one grandchild.

Memorial service will be 7 p.m. today at A.C. Dobbling & Son Funeral Home in Fort Thomas.

Mr. White's remains were cremated. Memorials: St. Therese Church, 11 Temple Place, Southgate, KY 41071.

Grant County

Woodrow Vaughn

DRY RIDGE - Woodrow Vaughn, 76, a janitor, died Mondayat St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood.

Surviving are two brothers, Elmer of Dry Ridge, and Wilbur of Brookville, Ind.; and a niece, Mary L. Jacobs of Dry Ridge.

No public services or burial planned. Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona is handling arrangements.

Kenton County

Carey Carroll

COVINGTON - Carey Lawrence Carroll, 57, a forklift driver for Duro Bag Manufacturing Co., died Saturday at Florence Park Care Center.

Surviving are three sisters, Madonna Evans of McVeigh, Ky., Brenda J. Ooten of Cincinnati and Lanna Caudill of West Union, Ohio; and four brothers, Billy Wayne Carroll, and Danny Carroll, both of Pinsonfork, Ky., Glen Carroll of McAndrews, Ky., and Ted Carroll of Cincinnati.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to noon and service noon today at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home in Covington. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright.

Jerome G. Dorsey

ELSMERE - Jerome G. "Jerry" Dorsey, 63, a truck driver for Topicz Inc., a vending company in Amberley Village, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Covington.

He was a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of the Father Bealer chapter of the Knights of Columbus in Elsmere and a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Henry Church in Elsmere.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce A. Weier Dorsey; a daughter, Kim Judd of Elsmere; two sons, Keith of Hebron, and Kenny of Fairfield; a sister, Kathleen Warning of Kettering, Ohio; three brothers, Jackie of W. Palm Beach, Fla., Irvin of Yorktown, Va., and Bobby of Florence; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. todayat Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Fridayat St. Henry Church in Elsmere.

Mr. Dorsey's remains will be cremated at Southwest Ohio Crematory in Milford.

Wesley E. Brock

LUDLOW - Wesley E. "Gene" Brock, 85, a member of First Baptist Church of Ludlow, died Sunday at the Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport.

Surviving are a sister, Mary M. Brock of Ludlow.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon and service noon today at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home in Ludlow. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger.

Memorials: First Baptist Church of Ludlow, 400 Linden St., Ludlow, KY 41016.
