WILMINGTON - A 69-year-old Peebles woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a one-car crash on Ohio 73 near here.
The victim was driving a 1990 Honda Civic east on Ohio 73 about 5:10 p.m. when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree and a fence about 8 miles east of Wilmington, the Ohio State Highway patrol said. The tree fell on top of the car.
The preliminary investigation had not determined whether the victim died as result of injuries suffered in the crash or from a medical problem, Trooper Mark Wells said.
The victim's name was being withheld late Sunday pending notification of relatives.
