Late touchdown toss rallies Mount

Small colleges

The Cincinnati Enquirer

OBERLIN, Ohio - Mike Dane threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Rick Wiehe with 3:57 left in the fourth quarter to give Mount St. Joseph a 14-7 win over Oberlin on Saturday.

Ricky Story gained 111 yards and scored the Mount's other touchdown, in the first quarter. But his fumble early in the third quarter gave the Yeomen possession at the Mount St. Joseph 7-yard line.

After a sack and a short run, Oberlin quarterback Ryan Squatrito connected with Zack Lewis on a 10-yard touchdown pass.

A fumble by Squatrito gave Mount St. Joseph (2-0) the ball at its own 40 late in the fourth quarter, and Dane's 56-yard pass to Andy Wellendorf set up the go-ahead touchdown.

Squatrito completed 16 of 28 for 117 yards for Oberlin (0-2).

Dane finished 15-of-32 passing for 209 yards.
