Spotlight Solutions, a privately owned software developer in Deerfield Township, has been acquired by a Boston company for an undisclosed price.
The buyer was ProfitLogic, itself a developer of merchandising software for retailers, mainly sellers of general merchandise and apparel.
Spotlight is best known for its Markdown Optimizer program, which retailers use to adjust prices through their seasonal selling cycles.
Users include Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard's and Liz Claiborne.
Calls to Spotlight were greeted by an answering machine Wednesday and ProfitLogic did not return a phone call.
Spotlight, funded in part by Blue Chip Venture Co. of Cincinnati, had 60 employees and an estimated $2.1 million in annual revenue at the time the Enquirer profiled the company in late 2001.
