St. John plans reunion



COLERAIN TOWNSHIP - St. John the Baptist School will hold its second annual all-class alumni reunion Sunday after the 11 a.m. Mass.

The reunion will run from noon to 4 p.m. in the Parish Center, 5361 Dry Ridge Road. Alumni will have the opportunity to meet with former classmates and tour the campus, including the school's new science lab and eighth-grade classroom.

St. Joseph club holds annual harvest social

CAMP SPRINGS - The St. Joseph School Parent Teacher Club will hold its annual Country Harvest Social from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Bishop Brossart High School's Hegenauer Hall, North Jefferson and Grove streets, Alexandria.

The $12 cost includes dinner, refreshments, raffles and bingo. Guests who bring a canned good will receive a free bingo card. Reservations: (859) 448-0399.

St. Gabriel students sell M&Ms as fund-raiser

GLENDALE - Bags of plain and peanut M&M candies are available for $1 from St. Gabriel Consolidated School students through Sept. 30. This year's goal is to sell 20,000 bags. Proceeds will be used to provide academic enrichment, fine arts programs and updated computer technology.

La Salle High School invites new moms to tea

GREEN TOWNSHIP - New La Salle High School moms are invited to the Freshmen Moms' Welcome Tea at 7:30 p.m. today in the gym, 3091 North Bend Road.

Guidance counselors will explain moms' role in an all-male high school. Lancers will model spirit wear from the Spirit Shop. Light refreshments will be served.

Roger Bacon High School alumni plan 5K walk/run

ST. BERNARD - The Roger Bacon High School Alumni Association will hold a 5K walk/run Saturday at the school, 4320 Vine St. Registration begins one hour before the 9 a.m. race. Cost is $15 for registered participants, $20 the day of the race. Proceeds will go to the association's scholarship fund.

St. Vivian arts group sponsors craft show

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP - St. Vivian School's music and arts booster group is sponsoring a craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the school's activity center, 7600 Winton Road. More than 40 crafters will offer wares.

Bishop Brossart raffle tickets on sale now

ALEXANDRIA - Tickets for the Mustang Monthlies Raffle, sponsored by the Bishop Brossart Parent Teacher Union, are on sale at the school.

Tickets at $25 are good for each monthly drawing. A total of $3,000 will be given away.

To be eligible for the drawings, tickets must be purchased by Oct. 6. Drawings will be held at the monthly PTU meetings. Information: (859) 635-2108.
