Style extra: Fabulous-Furs opens in Kenwood

Fabulous-Furs of Covington is a catalog business at heart, but the company specializing in fooling folks with their clothes and home fashions is opening a store at Kenwood Towne Centre Oct. 8. The store, near Parisian, will carry custom-cut full-length faux sable coats for $499 to the faux fur jackets, hats and hot water bottles showcased in Us Weekly magazine, as well as faux furs for pets. Hours:10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday.

Spa in Sharonville: Serenity Spa & Bodywork in the Crystal View Plaza on U.S. 42, Sharonville opens Monday with bath and body products, baby spa items, massage tables and chairs, lotions, creams and educational material. Information: 745-0604.

Fashion and flicks: Six fashion designers will chat about how classic films have influenced their careers and designs in Styles in Motion, Mondays in October at 8 p.m. on Turner Classic Movies. Each designer will host an evening of four of their favorite flicks and talk about fashion, direction, production design and the political and sociological impact on culture. Kate and Andy Spade begin the first night Monday with Bonnie and Clyde followed by The Swimmer, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and To Kill a Mockingbird. Heart to Heart fashion show: A fashion show featuring Carol Anderson's designs will benefit Heart to Heart, a volunteer organization that provides the basics for women leaving the YWCA Battered Women Shelter. The show will be 1-4 p.m. Saturday at 848 Rolfes Fields Lane, Loveland. More than 25 raffle prizes will be awarded and 20 percent from all clothes purchased will go to the charity. $20. 2700 Erie show: A trunk show of M&J Savitt semi-precious collection and Janis Savitt white gold and diamond collection, designed by three sisters, will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday at the Hyde Park store. Information: 533-0042.

Show benefits adoption center: A fashion show, champagne reception, silent auction and luncheon to benefit the International Adoption Center in Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center will begin 10:30 a.m. next Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency Grand Ballroom, downtown. $50. Parisian trunk show: A men's clothing trunk show with Hart, Schaffner & Marx will be noon-7 p.m. Friday in the men's department of the Kenwood Towne Centre store. Information: 792-2400.
