3 local firms on fast-growth list

By James McNair
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Inc. magazine's latest list of the 500 fastest-growing, privately owned companies in the nation includes three from Greater Cincinnati.

Diversitech, a Springdale company that provides design engineering, facility operations and construction services for the aerospace and automotive industries, stood at the head of the local class. Its five-year revenue growth rate of 1,844 percent put it at No. 76.

Diversitech, formed in 1993, is headed by CEO James Askew. It had $13.5 million in revenue in 2002 and employs 175.

Trasys, a Blue Ash company, an information technology firm, had 1,004 percent growth, good for a No. 165 ranking on the Inc. list. Founded in 1998 and run by Joe Rimsky, Trasys has 75 employees and posted $10.4 million in revenue in 2002.

L.E.M. Products, a Harrison-based distributor of meat-grinding equipment, came in at No. 289 with a five-year revenue gain of 615 percent. L.E.M. has six employees and had $2.7 million in sales in 2002.
