President of IT group steps down
Dan Lohmeyer, president of Ohio's IT Alliance, will be stepping down as the regional technology group reviews its organizational structure and strategy for 2004, the Dayton-based group said Monday.
Lohmeyer helped launch Ohio's IT Alliance four years ago after it was established by Ohio Gov. Bob Taft to strengthen the state's information technology sector. Part of the state's Edison Network of technology organizations, the alliance consists of The Circuit in Cincinnati, IT Alliance of Appalachian Ohio, NEOpreneur of Northeast Ohio, the Columbus Technology Council, the Greater Dayton IT Alliance and the Regional Growth Partnership in Northwest Ohio.
No explanation for Lohmeyer's departure was given. Ohio's IT Alliance was instrumental in the development of 17 new technology companies, the creation of 250 jobs and the raising of $11 million in investment capital in the last four years.
