Fetish opens with fund-raiser

Fetish, the new shop with shoes, accessories and clothing for women at 3425 Erie Ave., Hyde Park, will celebrate its grand opening Saturday with a boost for Dress for Success, the downtown organization that outfits low-income women trying to get jobs.

Ten percent of all sales for the day will go to Dress for Success. Information: 321-0004.

Doncaster showing: There will be a showing of the high-end line of women's clothes through Oct. 15 at the Doncaster studio in Blue Ash at 4866 Cooper Road, next to Baxter's. Information: 396-6618 or 313-1313.

Trunk show: Parisian will host a trunk show of Garfield & Marks women's clothes 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday in the ladies career department of Kenwood Towne Centre. Ashley Sedgwick of Garfield & Marks will be on hand and visitors can register to win a G&M outfit. Information: 792-2400.

Salon: A fashion show, gourmet lunch and program by food expert Marilyn Harris are part of this week's Saturday salon series by Fabulous-Furs of Covington. The $30 admission includes a Fabulous-Furs gift bag, lunch, program, parking and a 20 percent-off coupon for the day on all in-stock Fabulous-Furs merchandise. Hunt Club show: A trunk show of Hickey-Freeman and Burberry clothes for men will be today and Wednesday at Hunt Club Clothiers, 46 Fountain Square Plaza, during store hours. Information: 721-2004.

Mike & Carol Trotta shows: A hand-loomed J.S.S. knit show is planned 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Thursday so customers can pick the color and style for a custom-made outfit. A show of women's sportswear from Geiger of Austria, known for its boiled wool, will be 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. next Tuesday at the 406 Walnut St. store, downtown. Information: 621-2930.

Lee Denim Day: Actress Christina Applegate has joined Lee Jeans to raise money for the fight against breast cancer during a one-day event Friday.

Participating companies let employees wear denim to work in exchange for a $5 contribution to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. There is no cost to the company. Applegate's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when the actress was 7, and she credits early detection with saving her mother's life. Information: www.denimday.com; (800) 521-5533.

Lancome event: Mrs. Ohio Galaxy, Tara Urbanek, will be at the Lazarus-Macy's Kenwood Towne Centre store 11 a.m. Saturday to speak about eating disorders.
