Homearama Lifestyles: Brookwood by Harvest Homes by John Hueber of Loveland took the first place in 10 of 17 categories at the Homearama New Lifestyles Edition, which closed Sept. 14 at Miami Bluffs, Hamilton Township. Harvest Homes' awards included best home as well as best kitchen, great room, dining room, bedroom suite, bath, study, craftsmanship, transitional exterior (Kenneth R. Bowerman, architect) and transitional decorating (David Millett).
The People's Choice Awards of Favorite Home, Favorite Decorating and Favorite Landscaping all went to the Hearthstone by Great Traditions Homes by Doug Hinger (Julie Bell and Amy Holt of Interiors by Nancy Paul and Julie Bell for decorating and Patterson's Farmstead & Nursery for landscaping).
Delhi holiday store: Delhi Flower and Garden Center got into the holiday spirit early by opening a holiday decorating store at Kenwood Towne Centre. The store is a beautiful creation of predominantly red, white, silver and gold silk flowers, ornaments, garlands, nutcrackers, tree and home trimming that will get you into the mood. A Show of Hands artisans: Most folks know A Show of Hands at Kenwood Towne Centre as a showcase of one-of-a-kind artwork by regional artists. What they may not be aware of is the artistic talent behind the counter. Through Oct. 31 the shop is presenting artwork by the talented sales staff including fabric, jewelry and other gift-giving appropriate art by fiber works; metal woven baskets by Heather Bollen; photography by Diane Christian Budd; mixed media ceramic sculpture by Eva Clarke; ceramics sculpture by Mari Miller; painting on silk by Jenn Sczur; quilting and polymer jewelry by Amy Wallace; ceramic figurative sculpture by Sarah Wilisch, and fiberworks by Heather Zimmerman.
