Small colleges: Mt. St. Joe thumps Manchester 28-6

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - Mike Dane (Little Miami) threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as Mount St. Joseph beat Manchester 28-6 Saturday.

Dane, who threw for 193 yards, also scored on a 1-yard run in the second. Ricky Story (Western Hills) led the Lions (4-1, 2-0 Heartland Conference) in rushing with 154 yards.

Valparaiso 33, Dayton 28

DAYTON, Ohio - David Macchi passed for 404 yards and four touchdowns as Valparaiso beat Dayton (6-1, 0-1 Pioneer League), snapping the longest Division I-AA winning streak at 14 games. Macchi completed 22 of 33 passes for the Crusaders (4-3, 1-0).

Dayton's Brandon Staley was 21-of-41 for 280 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.

Thomas More 24, Franklin 21

FRANKLIN, Ind. - Tyran Thompson ran for 188 yards and the game-winning touchdown as TMC beat winless Franklin (0-5).

The Saints (2-3) took an early lead as Thompson scored on a 10-yard run in the first quarter.

Thomas More was trailing 21-17 before Thompson scored on a 2-yard run with 4:45 remaining.

Muskingum 24, Wilmington 7

WILMINGTON - Trevor Cooper rushed for 125 yards on 29 carries and Nick Klein had two touchdown runs to lead Muskingum (4-1, 3-1 Ohio Conference) past Wilmington (0-5, 0-4)

Hanover 55, Defiance 38

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Brett Dietz (Covington Catholic) passed for 271 yards and four touchdowns and also ran for a score for the Panthers (4-1, 2-0 Heartland).
