Here is the daily schedule of Tall Stacks events. Also see:

Wednesday

5:30 a.m.-midnight - Metro operates the Tall Stacks Park and Ride facility at General Electric in Evendale.

6 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. - TANK operates the Tall Stacks Park and Ride facility at Turfway Park racetrack.

6-9 a.m. - Morning in-dock riverboat tours (Tour Ticket required to board the riverboats)

9 a.m. - Festival gates open

9 a.m. - Sawyertown activities begin

10 a.m.-8 p.m. - River Industry Exhibits open. Located on the Newport side of Tall Stacks.

10 a.m. to 10 p.m. - River Taxi operates, ferrying passengers between Cincinnati and Newport. $5 per person roundtrip.

10 a.m.-8 p.m. - Newport Barracks and Encampment, Taylor Park in Newport.

10 a.m. - Beginning of the Ohio Bicentennial Bell Casting, Cincinnatus Statue area.

4 p.m. - Ohio Bicentennial Bell Casting Ceremony, Cincinnatus Statue.

7:45 p.m. - Fireworks.


Thursday

7:45 p.m. - Fireworks.


Friday

7 a.m. - The Delta Queen and the Mississippi Queen arrive in port.

10 a.m. to 10 p.m. - River Taxi operates, ferrying passengers between Cincinnati and Newport. $5 per person roundtrip.

3-5 p.m. - The Parade of Tall Stacks. The 17 participating riverboats parade down the river from the Schmidt Field boat ramp, past the Serpentine Wall and the Public Landing.

6 p.m. - The Delta Queen and Mississippi Queen depart.

6:30-7:30 p.m. - Hot-Air Balloon Glows along the riverbank in Newport. Great viewing from across the river from the Public Landing and Serpentine Wall.

7:45 p.m. - Fireworks.


Saturday

5:30 a.m.-midnight - Metro operates the Tall Stacks Park and Ride facility at General Electric and Coney Island.

6 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. - TANK operates the Tall Stacks Park and Ride facility at Turfway Park racetrack.

6-9 a.m. - Morning in-dock riverboat tours (Tour Ticket required to board the riverboats)

8-9 a.m. - Hot air balloon races, Yeatman's Cove, Cincinnati.

9 a.m. - Festival gates open

9 a.m. - Sawyertown activities begin

10 a.m.-8 p.m. - River Industry Exhibits open in Newport.

10 a.m. to 10 p.m. - River Taxi operates, ferrying passengers between Cincinnati and Newport. $5 per person roundtrip.

10 a.m.-8 p.m. - Newport Barracks and Encampment, Taylor Park in Newport.

2-5:30 p.m. - Riverboat Races. Heat 3 pits the Harriet Bishop against the River Queen. Heat 4 pits the Anson Northrup, Spirit of Cincinnati and Island Queen against each other. Heat 5 pits the P.A. Denny against the Chattanooga Star.

6:30-7:30 p.m. - Hot-Air Balloon Glows along the riverbank in Newport. Great viewing from across the river from the Public Landing and Serpentine Wall.

7:45 p.m. - Fireworks.

8 p.m. - The "Light Up the Ohio" pleasure boat parade. Pleasure boaters decorate their boats for this river parade.


Sunday
