eBay Showhouse auction: This summer, six interior designers were given a budget and an eBay User ID to transform an empty New York penthouse into the first chic and stylish eBay Showhouse with furniture and accessories found on the Web site. An auction of the furniture and accessories, Thursday through Oct. 30, includes a signed Matisse lithograph, a vintage rattan tiki sofa, a twin log bed and walnut French dining room chairs. All proceeds benefit Alpha Workshops, which helps artists and designers living with HIV. Information and views of the penthouse at www.ebay.com.
