Playhouse selling props, costumes

A pair of ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz; hand-painted, comic book-style Western costumes from Dark Paradise; 1960s-styled wigs from Beehive; period dresses from Ain't Misbehavin'.

Get in line now, Playhouse in the Park is holding its first costume and prop sale in eight years from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at its scenery shop (2827 Gilbert Ave, Walnut Hills).

There will be a silent auction for some items, including Wizard of Oz costumes. Also find "shabby chic" and masks, headdresses and puppets, to say nothing of wardrobe items from tuxes to military uniforms. Prices start at 50 cents, with most items ranging from $20 to $30.
