Lebanon hires ex-treasurer to be its business manager
By Sue Kiesewetter Enquirer contributor
LEBANON - After a seven-year absence Cary Furniss is returning to the Lebanon Schools - this time as its business manager.
Furniss, Lebanon's treasurer from 1992 to 1996, is leaving the Norwood Schools next month after three years as treasurer.
Furniss said he is looking for a different challenge.
"I'm looking forward to it. I've been a treasurer for the past 16 years," said Furniss, who has also been Mason Schools' treasurer. "I'm ready to make a change and I'm already familiar with the district."
Furniss, of Deerfield Township, will begin Nov. 17 in Lebanon. His contract runs through July 2006. He will earn $88,421.
