DELHI TWP. - Every morning for the past eight weeks, Chris Bross has faithfully entered her name online in the Staples Coach of the Week promotion.
But even she was surprised when her name was drawn from Cincinnati area entries after Marvin Lewis of the Bengals was named Coach of the Week following the team's victory Sunday over the Baltimore Ravens.
That drawing will bring a CBS film crew to Our Lady of Victory School at 9 a.m. today to tape a 30-second segment that will air during Sunday's NFL Today show, broadcast noon-1 p.m. on WKRC-TV (Channel 12).
The school was designated by Bross to receive $5,000 to spend at Staples. She chose the school because four of her grandchildren go there.
"I can turn off the pop-up now, but I'll have to find a peace offering for my other grandchildren," who don't attend Our Lady of Victory, Bross said Thursday.
In preparation for the filming, the school's 730 students are out of uniform today - but must wear their school football jerseys or orange-and-black to support the Bengals.
Bross' 12-year-old granddaughter, Melanie Laiveling, said she would wear a Bengals T-shirt and say thank you to her grandmother.
"I will probably give her a big hug," Laiveling said. "The best part is being on TV with my cousins and grandma."
Laiveling's brother Kevin, 8, and cousins Lauren Ashley, 10, and Michael Ashley, 6, all attend the school. They, along with five students from each grade, will hold signs touting Staples and the Bengals.
"When we found out Tuesday you could hear the screams throughout the hallway," said Renee Martin, a school secretary.
As part of the promotion, Lewis will visit the school in November or December.
