HYDE PARK - The Hyde Park Center for Older Adults will collect new toys, games, puzzles, dolls, stuffed animals and other gifts for children. The center will also accept checks or cash. Donations can be made at the center, 2800 Erie Ave.
SATURDAY
OVER-THE-RHINE - Notre Dame AmeriCorps Cincinnati will be painting and cleaning the Peaslee Neighborhood Center, 215 E. 14th St. The volunteers and the center are looking for people who would like to share their memories from the past 20 years at the center. (513) 381-5882.
MOUNT HEALTHY - There will be a community literacy fair 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Mount Healthy Board Office gym, 7615 Harrison Ave.
MADEIRA - The Madeira Women's Club will collect items beginning with a "T" (toys, toothbrushes, T-shirts, etc.) to benefit the Interfaith Hospitality Network. Donations will be accepted 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Clothes Closet, 7014 Miami Ave.
ANDERSON TOWNSHIP - Volunteers can help spruce up the township 9 a.m.-noon. Meet at 9 a.m. at the Anderson Township Government Center, 7954 Beechmont Ave., for an assignment.
SPRINGDALE - The Springdale Elementary PTA will have a coat drive 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the school's parking lot, 350 W. Kemper Road. Volunteers will collect "gently used" coats and jackets, infant to adult sizes.
MASON - Volunteers will work at Pine Hill Lakes Park on Kings Mills Road from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. planting trees around the new playground and laying down topsoil, grass seed and straw along the bike trail. People are asked to bring their own gloves, shovels and buckets.
