All proceeds will go to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in New Haven, Conn. The camp was founded in 1988 by actor Paul Newman, a member of Phi Kappa Tau while at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, in the late 1940s.
The charity gives terminally ill children a chance to attend one of its five worldwide summer camps free of charge. More than 13,000 have attended the camp in the last 17 years, including 1,021 this past summer.
NKU sophomore and fraternity member Chris Allen started the basketball game three years ago.
"I've always been an athlete and sports fan and thought it would be a good idea," said Allen. "We've all worked extremely hard on it. It's all we've been concentrating on this semester."
Along with the game, the evening will feature various raffles and T-shirt sales. Everything has been donated to the fraternity, so all money raised will go to the charity.
Newman started the camp with his own money and contributes 5 percent toward the charity's annual budget of $4.6 million. The rest of the money comes from individual and corporate donations, outside organizations (such as Phi Kappa Tau) and foundation grants.
