Kevin Ferguson, 12, and brothers; Ryan Owens, 11, and Tyler Owens, 8, students at Jane Hoop Elementary School, Mount Healthy, took their minds off selling candy to help a woman in trouble.

When they knocked on a door in the Lake of Woods Apartment Complex, they heard a woman crying. She had fallen.
They called 911.
"We stayed with her and comforted her until the firemen came,'' said Ryan.
Lt. Steve Lawson and assistant fire chief Tim Harris of the Mount Healthy Fire Department presented the youths with plaques this week for being good citizens.
Janice Thall, the woman they helped, is recuperating at home.
Courage rewarded
Tracie Metzger is a model for courage and perseverance.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer, she went through chemotherapy and breast reconstructive surgery.
Today Metzger will be honored with the "Patients of Courage: Triumph Over Adversity," award by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in San Diego, Calif.
Metzger was nominated for the award by plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Williams of the Plastic Surgery Group.
Williams said Metzger was honored for her strength and willingness to give back to the community.
"Clearly, Tracie is one of those unique individuals able to tackle not only the physical, but emotional aspects of her disease and turn it into a positive force in her life,'' Williams said.
Metzger and several other young women started Pink Ribbon Girls, a support group for breast cancer patients.
