Mt. St. Joseph roars to victory

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Andy Wellendorf caught two touchdown passes from Mike Dane within six minutes spanning the third and fourth quarters as Mount St. Joseph beat Bluffton 24-0 Saturday.
Dane completed 10 of 28 passes for 209 yards for the Lions (6-1, 4-0 Heartland Conference) and Wellendorf led all receivers with 103 yards on four catches.
MSJ led just 3-0 at halftime on a 38-yard field goal by Mike Riga. Ricky Story scored on a 13-yard run in the third quarter. Story had 16 carries for 88 yards as the Lions piled on 346 offensive yards to 183 yards for Beavers (2-5, 0-3).

Thomas More (3-4) celebrated homecoming by outgaining Kentucky Wesleyan 469-192, with sophomore Tyran Thompson rushing for 128 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.
The Pioneers fell to 1-8.Dayton 40, Butler 0
INDIANAPOLIS - Cliff Sachini scored three touchdowns and rushed for 150 yards on 25 carries to lead Dayton. The Flyers (8-1, 1-1 Pioneer League) outrushed the Bulldogs 335-60 and held Butler to six first downs.
Kicker Jason Resch had a field goal blocked, missed another and made 2-of-5 extra-point attempts.
Dayton stayed with a ground attack that totaled 18 of the team's 27 first downs. Fullback Geno Mattioda rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.
Hanover 48, Anderson 19
ANDERSON, Ind. - Brett Dietz ran for one touchdown and threw for 420 total yards and four more touchdowns as Hanover beat Anderson.
Dietz connected with Terrell Cummings on 4- and 19-yard passes in the second quarter, and again on an 11-yard pass to Clint Bobb with nine minutes left in the third to bring Hanover's lead to 34-13.
Dietz and Cummings also scored on 1- and 2-yard runs respectively.
Bobb, who led Hanover with only 30 yards rushing, also scored on a 4-yard run in the first quarter.
Hanover (6-1, 4-0 Heartland) and Anderson (4-3, 2-1) kept their offensive drives mostly in the air. Ravens quarterback Joel Steele threw for 407 yards and one touchdown.
