Bengals running back Corey Dillon wasn't the only person hampered by rain-slicked roads Sunday morning.
Dillon's one-car accident at 11 a.m. on Interstate 71 near Interstate 275 made him inactive for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. He was one of a few dozen Cincinnati-area motorists involved in accidents after an overnight cold front brought a half-inch of rain.
Dillon was reportedly driving with his wife, Desiree, and their daughter, Cameron. No one was injured.
The Artimis Center, which tracks traffic within the I-275 loop, reported 13 highway accidents between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday, when the rain ceased.
The worst of Sunday's accidents was the first: a tractor trailer that crashed on northbound Interstate 71/75 in Covington about 1:30 a.m. just south of the 12th Street exit. The tractor trailer slid off the road near the bend on the interstate.
The driver, whose name was not available, suffered only minor injuries to his back, but it took emergency workers about 12 hours to clear away the wreckage.
Traffic a was backed up to Buttermilk Pike into the afternoon.
