OVER-THE-RHINE - The Orchestra Department at the School for Creative and Performing Arts, 1310 Sycamore St., opens its 2003-04 concert season at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the school's Abigail Cutter Theater.
Three of SCPA's orchestras will perform works by Strauss, Mendelssohn, Handel and Bach.
Tickets are $3, free to students and children. Information: 383-8100.
Four Finneytown choirs to sing
SPRINGFIELD TWP. - Four Finneytown High School choirs will sing in a "Meet the Chorus" concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the William R. Swartzel Performing Arts Center, 8916 Fontainebleau Terrace.
Admission is $2, $1 for students and free to senior citizens or members of the Music Parents Association. Proceeds will be used to purchase materials and buy instruments.
Sycamore schools candidates forum
MONTGOMERY - Residents of the Sycamore Community Schools can question board candidates at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Montgomery Elementary School, 9609 Montgomery Road. Information: 852-1901.
Garfield school plans open house
HAMILTON - Garfield Middle School, 250 N. Fair Ave., will host an open house 4:30-7 p.m. today to showcase recently finished renovations. A dedication begins at 6 p.m.
Students to create TV programs
COVINGTON - Students at seven schools in Northern Kentucky will learn how to create television programs through a joint project of Insight Communications and the Telecommunications Board of Northern Kentucky.
Each school will produce at least 14 shows a year that will air on Insight's public-access cable channel 20.
Schools are Boone County High School in Florence, Holy Cross District High School in Covington, Scott High School in Taylor Mill, Conner High School in Hebron, Holmes High School in Covington and Two Rivers Middle School in Covington.
