Porter revue: Oxford Area Community Theater opens a production of Cole, a musical based on the life and songs of Cole Porter, 7:30 p.m. today, Presser Auditorium, Miami University Western Campus, Oxford. Show includes choreographed renditions of many of the composer's best-known songs such as "Night and Day," "From This Moment On" and "Just One of Those Things." $10, $8 students/seniors. New on DVD: New titles to look for in video stores this week include the animated sensation Finding Nemo, the light and fun Reese Witherspoon vehicle Legally Blonde 2 and Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights. Also look for a new live concert from Coldplay (two-disc set) and Avril Lavigne: My World, taped at a concert in Buffalo.

On Sale Today

"Hairspray" creators: Tickets go on sale to the general public 10 a.m. today for "An Evening with John Waters, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman," the creative team behind the blockbuster musical Hairspray, which plays Dec. 2-Dec. 14 at the Aronoff Center. Waters directed the film upon which the musical was based, and Shaiman and Wittman wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning show. Their 8 p.m. Dec. 8 presentation includes storytelling about the creation of Hairspray and how composers and lyricists adapted the film to the stage. $25-$40. 241-7469.
