Going Out

Bats auction: The Bats Incredible! public arts project winds up as 108 of the 195 sculptures made from Louisville Sluggers go on sale at a party and auction, 5:30-10:30 p.m. today, Cincinnati Museum Center, Union Terminal. Tickets start at $25. 333-0388.

Barenaked Ladies: Canada's quirky alt-pop band is at the Taft Theatre for a sold-out, interactive approach to the rock concert experience in support of its recent CD Everything to Everyone, 8 p.m. today, Fifth and Sycamore streets, downtown.

Reel Justice: The monthly series of movies for lawyers, judges and other legal-minded fans convenes 7:30 p.m. today at the Mariemont Theatre (6906 Wooster Pike) to watch Billy Wilder's Witness For the Prosecution (1957), based on Agatha Christie's famous tale about a twist-filled murder trial. Moviegoers are invited to the Mariemont Inn, 6880 Wooster Pike, for refreshments and discussion after the film. $6. 272-0222.

Theater: The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Drama and Musical Theater Departments open a short run of The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade, which explores the nature of revolution, 8 p.m. today, Cohen Family Studio Theater, UC. Make your own candy: Just in time for the holidays, the creators of Baby Bottle Pop candy are releasing a Baby Bottle Pop Candy Workshop that allows kids to make their own customized candy. CD Release

Music benefit: The Madison Theater hosts a CD release party for 14 Nights, featuring live performances by 14 local musical acts, 7:30 p.m. today, 728 Madison Ave., Covington. Artists on the CD include Langus, the Graveblankets, Jake Speed, Ryan Adcock and Tracy Walker.
