Small colleges: Defense seals Saints' 100th victory

CRESTVIEW HILLS - Defensive back Chris Willis broke up a two-point conversion pass in the end zone with three seconds to play to clinch Thomas More's 41-39 victory over Westminster (Pa.) Saturday.
It was the 100th victory for the Saints in the 14-year history of the program. Thomas More reached that mark in its 141st game and is second-fastest in NCAA Division III history to do so, behind Hardin Simmons at 132 games.
Saints quarterback Nate Berkley had 333 yards of total offense. He ran 12 times for 134 yards and one touchdown and completed 11 of 23 passes for 199 yards and a TD.
Tailback Tyran Thompson ran for 132 yards on 28 carries, giving him 1,119 yards this season. He's the sixth player in program history to top 1,000 yards in a season.

HANOVER, Ind. - Nathan Littlefield's 26-yard field goal with 1:19 remaining was the difference for the Panthers (7-2, 5-0 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference), who improved to 12-0 all time against the Lions and clinched the HCAC title. Mike Dane passed for 245 yards and two touchdowns for the Mount (6-3, 4-2).
Wilmington 19, Heidelberg 13
TIFFIN, Ohio - Tyler Kelch rushed 34 times for 204 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Quakers (2-7, 2-6 Ohio Conference). Heidelberg (1-8, 1-7) was stopped on the Quakers 28 on its final drive.
