Catch dancing, music at annual senior expo
CRESTVIEW HILLS - Show up at 9 a.m. Thursday to see the Dancing Grandmas & Bob at the Northern Kentucky Senior Expo at Crestview Hills Mall.
In its ninth year, senior expo runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission and parking are both free.
Health screenings, flu shots, information and giveaways will all be available at 85 exhibitor areas.
Immediately after the "grandmas" hang up their dancing shoes, Matthew Brian Taylor will take to the stage with a magic show. At 11 a.m., "boogie-woogie" blues music will be performed by Ricky Nye and the Mud Bugs. The music continues with the "big band" sounds of the Pete Wagner Orchestra from noon to 3 p.m.
Sponsors include: Northern Kentucky Area Development District/Area Agency on Aging; AARP, Burlington Pharmacy Health Care; and 50 Plus magazine.

Small business group focuses on saving time
BURLINGTON - The monthly meeting of the Small Business Owners Association of Northern Kentucky Thursday will feature the program: "Managing Your Monkeys," focusing on time management techniques for the small business owner.
The meeting, which is free, will be at 8:30 a.m. at the Boone County Extension Service, located at Ky. 18 and Camp Ernst Road. Doors open at 8:15 a.m., and refreshments will be provided.
After the meeting there will be time for open networking.
Get a penthouse view at cancer fund-raiser
COVINGTON - Art with a View, a gala benefit to help raise money for cancer patients through The Wellness Community, will run from 7-11 p.m. Saturday at Domaine de la Rive, 100 Rivercenter Blvd.
Held in a penthouse-level room with a view of the riverfront, the fund-raiser will feature paintings, sculptures and photography from regional artists with prices ranging from $250 to $50,000.
There will be a complimentary open bar, hors d'oeuvres, dessert and coffee.Tickets cost $100 per person. Bill Butler, chairman and CEO of Corporex, donated the space for the fund-raiser, and is co-hosting it with Virgil Reed, president of Time Warner.
The Wellness Community is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free support, education and hope to people with cancer.
