This city will hold its third annual Turkey Shoot, which is open to the public, at the Community Center gym at 11 a.m. Saturday.
And in Evendale, residents can try their hand at the village's Turkey Shoot at 10 a.m. Saturday at the recreation center in the municipal complex, 10500 Reading Road.
Sharonville's Turkey Shoot is "just a fun little program for the residents - and the nonresidents, also - to win a turkey," said Lynn Lemen, athletic program director.
Participants will be divided by age group and given one minute to make as many free throws as possible. Age groups will range from 5 and under to 50-plus.
Register by Friday to get $2 admission, or $3 for nonresidents.Donate two canned goods and get a $1 discount. Cans will go to the city-sponsored Christmas Fund.
The Evendale Turkey Shoot is open only to residents. Evendale charges $2 per two-person team for its Turkey Shoot, which can be a child (ages 3-17) and an adult, or two adults. Information: 563-2247.
