Bryzgalov, AHL Ducks shut out Syracuse

The Enquirer and wire reports

Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 20 shots for his third shutout of the season to lead the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 2-0 win over the Syracuse Crunch Saturday at the War Memorial in Syracuse.

Sheldon Brookbank and Joel Perrault scored for Cincinnati, which improved to 5-1-1-0 in its last seven games.

Bryzgalov, who has allowed just 12 goals over his last nine starts, tied Gregg Naumenko for first place on Cincinnati's career leader list in wins with the 39.

Pascal Leclaire, a first-round pick by Columbus in 2001, stopped 31 shots for Syracuse, which lost its third consecutive game.
