Yealey invites look at artwork on auction night

FLORENCE - A.M. Yealey Elementary School will hold its first "Night of the Arts" and silent auction at 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the school, 10 Yealey Drive.

About 200 pieces of student artwork related to the theme, "My Gift to the World," will be displayed.

The evening includes hors d'oeuvres, desserts and a silent auction of baskets with various themes.

Proceeds will go toward purchase of a wireless computer lab. Information: (859) 282-3333.

Americheer at Princeton High

SHARONVILLE - Princeton High School's junior class is hosting an Americheer fund-raiser from 1-5 p.m. Sunday in the school gymnasium, 11080 Chester Road.

In conjunction with the cheerleading competition, there will be a holiday craft show.

Those interested in participating should call 552-8378.

'Wonderful Life' on Loveland stage

LOVELAND - The play, It's A Wonderful Life, will open a three-day run Thursday. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday in the Loveland High School auditorium, 1 Tiger Trail.

Tickets - $8, $6 for students and senior citizens - can be purchased at the school or at the door. Information: 683-1920, ext. 728.

Hall of Fame award to Merwin

PIERCE TOWNSHIP - Merwin Elementary School will receive one of eight Hall of Fame awards at Tuesday's Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators Conference in Columbus.

Schools are judged on instruction, student achievement, student leadership opportunities, creativity, staff, finance, communication, safety, maintenance, parental support/participation and input and contribution to the community.

Three Rivers to debate finances

CLEVES - The first of three community meetings to discuss finances in the Three Rivers Local School District will begin 7 p.m. today at Three Rivers Middle School, 8575 Bridgetown Road.

Meetings also are scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Meredith Hitchens Elementary, 190 Main St.; and 7 p.m. Wednesday at C.T. Young Elementary, 401 N. Miami Ave.

Levy question to be discussed

BLUE ASH - The Sycamore Board of Education is hosting a public forum on finances and levy considerations at 7 p.m. today at E.H. Greene Intermediate School, 5200 Aldine Drive. Students perform holiday music

SPRINGBORO - The fifth-grade chorus at Springboro Elementary School will present two concerts Friday to open the entertainment tent at the Holiday Festival.

Students will perform a 30-minute show of holiday music at Market Street and Ohio 741 at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
