NCAA to reward academic excellence
The Enquirer and wire reports
The NCAA next April is expected to approve groundbreaking academic legislation that will reward academic success in an athletic department and punish academic deficiency.
Punishments are expected to include the loss of some NCAA-distributed revenue; the NCAA sees this as a cornerstone in reform but others say this could increase the level of cheating on high school transcripts because the reliance on GPA will be increased.
In conjunction, there is a plan to create a new formula for measuring academic success that incorporates a newly constitution graduate rate.

"There is still a special feeling. A lot of my friends are still there. So it's not really revenge. There are a lot of things to think about when you play against your ex-team. You get too emotional. I tried to think about it as a normal game."
