Pedestrian dies after being struck by car
GREEN TWP. - A 43-year-old woman was killed Saturday after being struck by a car as she walked along Beechgrove Lane.
The accident occurred shortly before 1 p.m.
Investigators with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said Lisa L. Sahay of Green Township was walking along the east side of the roadway with Richard Kordenbrock, 39, of Green Township when a southbound car went left of center and hit them.
The driver of the car, Eleanor C. Heidi, 76, lost control, officials said.
Both Kordenbrock and Sahay were hospitalized. Sahay died about four hours after the crash.
Kordenbrock remained hospitalized Saturday night. His condition was not immediately available. Heidi was not hurt.
The accident remains under investigation.
Flooding forecast for Maysville, Portsmouth
MAYSVILLE - The National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio, issued a flood warning on Saturday for residents of Maysville, Ky., and Portsmouth, Ohio.
The Ohio River is expected to crest at 50.8 feet in Maysville about 7 p.m. today, according to meteorologist Allen Randall.
Flood stage in Maysville is 50 feet.
In Cincinnati, the Ohio River is expected to crest about 8 a.m. Monday at 51.8 feet, just below flood stage of 52 feet, Randall said. Meteorologists don't expect the river to reach flood stage.
Police say man beaten to death outside bar
CHEVIOT - Police in this western Hamilton County suburb are investigating the beating death of a 33-year-old Westwood man outside a bar early Saturday.
Dennis Grau was at Duff's Sports Bar, along North Bend Road near Westwood Northern Boulevard.
He left the bar at about 2:30 a.m. and got into a fight with about seven people.
Grau died of his injuries, officials said, adding that the incident remains under investigation.
Police find meth lab, arrest 2 in Norwood
NORWOOD - Police arrested two people Friday night after discovering a methamphetamine lab in the basement of an apartment building here.
Police evacuated an unknown number of residents from the building at 2580 Duck Creek Road just after 9 p.m.
Robert Gregory, 44, who lives in an apartment at the building, was charged with illegal possession of chemicals.
Jason Johnson, 25, of 45 Honeysuckle Drive, Norwood, was charged with drug abuse.
Both men remain at the Hamilton County jail.
