Best Bets; What's on TV tonight

Gannett News Service

Must-see

Holiday Ice Dreams, 9 p.m., A&E.

Sergei Grinkov and Ekaterina Gordeeva were the dream duo of figure skating. This was a likable married couple that won two Olympic gold medals. Then in 1995, he died of heart trouble at 28, leaving a 24-year-old widow and their young daughter.

Now skate fans can celebrate the flow of life. Gordeeva has remarried (the skater Ilia Kulik, in 2002). Her daughter, Daria Grinkov, is 11 and joins Rosalynn Sumners to help introduce tonight's numbers.

Skaters include Paul Wylie, Gordeeva, Kulik and the duo of Isabelle Brasseur and Lloyd Eisler.

ER, 10 p.m., Channels 5, 22.

Viewers find out tonight if Romano really was killed in the previous episode's helicopter accident. Meanwhile, there are problems for both newcomers.

Neela (Parminder Nagra) deals with teens who were injured in a car crash, before returning to their Amish way of life. Sam (Linda Cardellini) feels Kovac is intruding in the life of her troubled son.

Other shows worth watching

Survivor: Pearl Islands, 8 p.m., Channels 12, 7. With the finale just 10 days away, the field is trimmed to five people.

Friends, 8 p.m., Channels 5, 22. In this rerun, Ross wants to interest his son in the Jewish holidays. The boy, alas, is dazzled by Santa Claus and Rudolph. Meanwhile, Chandler is clueless in the art of getting a good table at a restaurant.

Steve Harvey's Big Time, 8 p.m., Channel 64. Here's a rerun of the delightful pilot film, complete with a young James Brown impersonator and a shackled guy who escapes from a whirling washing machine.

The Reagans, 8 p.m., Showtime. If you missed the debut of this controversial film Sunday, here's another chance.

The Tracy Morgan Show, 8:30 p.m., Channels 5, 22. This new show, usually on Tuesdays, borrows a Thursday slot. After reading his son's letter to Santa in which he admits to wrongdoing, Tracy goes way too far. Soon, the boy thinks there will be no Christmas.

Will & Grace, 9 p.m., Channels 5, 22. Candice Bergen portrays an old friend, trying to one-up Karen. Tom Everett Scott is an old boyfriend who meets the lovelorn Grace.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, 9 p.m., Channels 12, 7. In a rerun, Grissom finds that an old woman apparently died after being locked in a closet.

Video Game Awards, 9 p.m., Spike TV. David Spade hosts this awards show, with music by Kelis, DMX, P.O.D. and Bubba Sparxxx. Presenters range from L'il Kim to Shaquille O'Neal.
