Mehring Way crash kills Clermont man

QUEENSGATE - A 55-year-old Clermont County man was killed Friday afternoon when his car struck a tree and utility pole on Mehring Way.

Police said that shortly before 4 p.m., Robert Barger of Hamersville was traveling eastbound on Mehring Way between Freeman Avenue and Baymiller Street when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the tree and pole in the center median.

He was dead at the scene.
