Today's top 25 previews

No. 1 Oklahoma (12-0) vs. No. 13 Kansas State (10-3)

Time/TV: 8 p.m./Ch. 9, 2.

Line: Oklahoma by 14.

Points: The Sooners look to take the last step on the road to the Sugar Bowl. K-State can upgrade its ticket to first class with a win and probably a Fiesta Bowl berth. Wildcats QB Ell Roberson will try his luck against the top-rated Oklahoma defense. Sooners DE Dan Cody and LB Teddy Lehman can match Roberson's speed, so he must make accurate passes. K-State WR James Terry must shake OU CB Derrick Strait, while 'Cats RB Darren Sproles tries to get around Sooners DT Tommie Harris. LB Josh Buhl is K-State's defensive leader. He must disrupt QB Jason White while keeping an eye on RB Renaldo Works. B Cedrick Williams has helped the Wildcats' pass coverage, but he can't handle both WRs Mark Clayton and Brandon Jones. A big return from Oklahoma CB-PR Antonio Perkins would be difficult to overcome.

Oregon State (7-4) at No. 2 Southern California (10-1)

Time/TV: 4:30 p.m./Ch. 9, 2.

Line: USC by 21.

Points: All the Trojans can do is take care of business on the field and hope the BCS formula continues to favor them. USC QB Matt Leinart hasn't been intercepted in his last 197 attempts. WR Mike Williams leads the Pacific-10 with 14 TD catches. Beavers CB Brandon Browner will try to contain him, but Keary Colbert also merits attention. Ball security must be the top priority for OSU's turnover-prone QB Derek Anderson, who is sure to face pressure from DE Kenechi Udeze. RB Steven Jackson can help if he can get outside; Trojans DTs Mike Patterson and Shaun Cody won't leave much interior space. USC CB Will Poole could neutralize Beavers WR James Newson, so Anderson might seek help from WR Mike Hass.

No. 3 LSU (11-1) vs. No. 5 Georgia (10-2)

Time/TV: 8 p.m./Ch. 12, 7.

Line: LSU by 3.

Points: The last two SEC champions meet for this year's automatic BCS bid and possibly a shot at the national championship. In LSU's 17-10 win Sept. 20, two interceptions spoiled an otherwise productive day for Georgia QB David Greene has WR Fred Gibson available this time and is getting solid contributions from RBs Michael Cooper and Kregg Lumpkin, but he must get better protection. Tigers DT Chad Lavalais and LB Lionel Turner don't leave many holes. Georgia DE David Pollack again is likely to face double-teams, but he must find a way to bother Tigers QB Matt Mauck. LB Thomas Davis could help with selective blitzing, though he could be occupied elsewhere containing LSU's dangerous wideout trio of Michael Clayton, Devery Henderson and Skyler Green. Injuries have necessitated a committee approach among LSU running backs, but Justin Vincent has the best chance to become a factor with his 5.7 yards a carry.

No. 18 Boise State (11-1) at Hawaii (8-4)

Time/TV: 11:35 p.m./ESPN2.

Line: Boise State by 10.

Points: With the Western Athletic Conference race already decided, this league finale is for bragging rights and entertainment value - and possibly computer points for the BCS contenders. The long-anticipated QB duel between the Broncos' Ryan Dinwiddie and the Warriors' Timmy Chang might not materialize. Hawaii coach June Jones said Chang probably will play, but Jason Whieldon, who led last week's comeback win against Alabama, will start.

The game still should be an aerial show as Warriors WRs Chad Owens and Jeremiah Cockheran try to outpace Dinwiddie's favorites, WRs Tim Gilligan and T.J. Acree. RB David Mikell gives BSU a ball-control weapon, but the Warriors can counter if RBs John West and Michael Brewster can mix in some well-timed runs. Broncos S Wes Nurse and Hawaii DB Abraham Elimimian are takeaway threats.
