Top of the First

Ordering a Brawny Lad

If the Bengals didn't already have Alex Sulfsted's cell number, they'd know where to find him - at the Frisch's Mainliner in Fairfax. Twice this year the Bengals have called to sign the former Mariemont High and Miami University offensive lineman, and twice he was at the restaurant. The latest call came Tuesday. Sulfsted was discussing his football future with his father. "I tried out (this season) with 11 teams," Sulfsted said. "Nobody wanted to sign an offensive lineman in the middle of the season." Sulfsted practiced Wednesday with the Bengals in his third go-round with the team that released him Aug. 25. "Hopefully I can stay this time," he said.
