Danville teacher chosen to get tops- in-state award

FRANKFORT - An elementary school teacher from Danville has been chosen Kentucky's 2004 teacher of the year.
Patti Rowland, a curriculum and technology integration teacher at Hogsett Elementary, will represent Kentucky in the national Teacher of the Year competition, the state Department of Education and sponsor Ashland Inc. announced Wednesday.
The middle school teacher of the year is Brenda Owen of Morton Middle School in Lexington. The high school teacher of the year is Jennifer Forgy of Paul Dunbar High School in Lexington.
