Must see
The Simpsons (8 p.m.), A Minute With Stan Hooper (8:30 p.m.) and Malcolm in the Middle (9 p.m.); all Channels 19, 45.
In some quick juggling, Fox has inserted Christmas episodes.
Two are reruns. Simpsons has a Christmas Carol take-off with Homer turning generous after a dream. Malcolm has Hal and the boys launching a scheme to sell Christmas trees.
Sandwiched between is a new Stan Hooper episode that was scheduled for last Wednesday, then delayed. To enjoy his first small-town Christmas, Stan (Norm Macdonald) covets an apple pie.
Might see
King of the Jungle special, 8 p.m., Animal Planet.
Last Monday, viewers saw one of the youngest competitors win this reality competition.
Kelly Diedring, 23, graduated from the University of Missouri, interned in Australia, then was an animal-care specialist at Busch Gardens near Tampa, Fla.
Her prize is a chance to host this one-hour special. It was taped in Florida and in Kenya.
Other shows worth watching
Arthur, 7 a.m. Channel 54, 4 p.m. Channel 16, 4:30 p.m., Channel 48. A week of new episodes begins with this unusual one: Buster heads to New York City, bringing a video camera. The result is moderately interesting, because it blends the usual animation with a live-action travelogue, seen through the camera. Next fall, that approach will spin into a Postcards From Buster series.
Threat Matrix, 8 p.m., Channels 9, 2. In a rerun, Frankie (Kelly Rutherford) faces murder charges after someone dies during her intense interrogation.
Las Vegas, 9 and 10 p.m., Channels 5, 22. Two reruns air back-to-back. First is the glitzy and moderately entertaining pilot, in which Danny (Josh Duhamel) beds a beauty (Molly Sims), then learns she's the daughter of his mentor Big Ed (James Caan), the tough casino security chief. In the second, Danny tries to solve his friend's murder while Big Ed must conceal the identity of a conservative senator.
Everybody Loves Raymond, 9 p.m., Channels 12, 7. In this rerun, Ray's son claims he's too sick to go to school. Ray's solution - flawed, as usual - is to take him to work to show how dull it is.
Two and a Half Men, 9:30 p.m., Channels 12, 7. In a funny-enough rerun, Alan (Jon Cryer) feels inadequate because his son wants to return home to his mom (Alan's estranged wife) when he's sick.
CSI: Miami, 10 p.m., Channels 12, 7. In a rerun, someone lured a woman to a vacant condo then beat her.
