Democrats endorse three candidates

The Cincinnati Enquirer

The Hamilton County Democratic Party endorsed three candidates for county offices Monday night, Chairman Tim Burke said.

Forest Park Mayor Stephanie Dumas got the nod for the commission seat held by John Dowlin. Another Democrat has filed for the race: Kabaka Oba, leader of the activist group the Black Fist.

The party endorsed Commissioner Todd Portune for re-election, and University of Cincinnati math professor Bob Drake for county treasurer.

The Democrats expect to field candidates for other offices, Burke said.
