Planning ahead

24 hours out: The Yale Glee Club with director Jeffrey Douma makes Cincinnati one of the stops on its Midwest winter tour. Also 24 hours out: Jazz lovers who like a little bit of a surprise with their music need to check out the Open Mike and Acoustic Jam at Northern Kentucky's Jazzmania. Hosted by Cash Ownly and The Bad Aires every Tuesday, it regularly dishes up a night of jazz classics and contemporary renditions, 8 p.m. today, Jazzmania, 837 Willard Street, Covington, free.
