The ad says Gateway offered $10 million to each school, plus another $10 million to the winner to see one more college football game played between the two national champions, Southern Cal and Louisiana State. "Why can't the national football champion be decided by a national football championship game?" The ad asks. "Because the NCAA says no." It asks readers to go to (www.gateway.com/whynot) to express support for one more game.
